Purchased in the summer of 2023, this family home, built in 1906, was in good general condition but remains far from current comfort. During the twentieth century, the house was connected to electricity and collective water management, but it remains without a heating system other than the fireplaces present in each room and without any thermal insulation treatment. There was only one bathroom and the electricity was far from today's standard. It was therefore necessary to provide today's comfort while retaining the unique charm of this vacation home. Maintaining the house's charm means preserving the exterior and interior features that characterize this turn-of-the-century, seaside architecture. This means preserving the fireplaces, the dining room and living room ceilings, the small window panes, the cement tiles in the kitchen, the staircase, the wooden railings, the terrace. At the same time, it's necessary to install a heating system and therefore radiators, insulate the walls, which will therefore need to be thicker, and add bathrooms with showers and their associated pipes.

Here are some images of the transformations.
